The bizarre image released by Kanye of his music video "Famous" features naked wax dolls of George W. Bush, Donald Trump, Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kim Kardashian, Ray J, Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, Taylor Swift and Kanye. Each celebrity lays naked in bed in what appears to be a modernized recreation of Vincent Desiderio's Sleep painting. The image pushes the typical hip-hop genre visual boundaries by picking controversial famous people for the image; most people hate at least one person in the image. The image mirrors how media and the world are obsessed with famous people, in a very uncomfortable way. Even when these celebrities are vulnerable, such sleeping and naked, media still looks at them. The occupants in the bed are also placed based on their relationship to Kanye. Kanye is in the center because this work is his creation and the work envisions a world that revolves around him. He makes a statement by placing Kim to his left. This placement seems to imply that Kim, the mother of his child, is not his right hand woman and challenges the male bravado. With Taylor Swift to his right, he implies that the woman who torments, that he competes with and publicly shuns, is the relationship that his subconscious finds as reliable and worthy of his attention.
