Adults Who Overdosed With a Child in the Car

Heroin have become a popular drug in Ohio. Studies show that it "kills 32 Ohioans each week". Two adults were found overdosed in the car with a four year old boy in the back seat. Officer Kevin Thompson began following the car, driven by James Accord, when he noticed that it was weaving back and forth. He eventually came to a stop and Officer Thompson approached the car. In this report,"Thompson noted that the 47-year-old’s speech was almost unintelligible, his pupils were “pin point” and his head was bobbing back and forth. At one point, Acord tried to shift the car back into drive, but Thompson took the keys". They both lost consciousness and were taken to the hospital. They were both revived.
Heroin is one of the many drugs that are abused in our world today. Not only does it affect the user, it also affects the people around them. It is estimated that heroin addiction has increased by 20%. Heroin has been known to be highly addictive and it has the same pharmacologic effects as morphine.
